Research

PATHS is an evidence-based social and emotional learning program backed by extensive research — including numerous randomized controlled trials with diverse student populations. Findings consistently show that our program leads to improvements in student behavior, academic engagement, and classroom climate.

​This two-year study of an urban school district’s implementation of PATHS found that students’ social-emotional outcomes improved — and improvements were even stronger in classrooms with higher-quality implementation.

School Psychology Quarterly (2014).jpg

​This study examined the impact of PATHS on academic achievement in a large urban school district. Results showed that students in PATHS schools were more likely to achieve proficiency in reading, writing, and math at several grade levels.
