Dorothy Morelli
President & CEO

Dorothy Morelli, M.Ed., is a career educator with more than 30 years of experience in elementary and secondary education. For most of her career, Dorothy has supported implementation of the PATHS program and led a network of curriculum and professional-development experts focused on the academic, social, and emotional needs of educators and their students. She co-founded CREATE, a nonprofit organization devoted to evidence-based wellness programs and practices for educators. Earlier in her career, Dorothy worked as an educational coordinator at Vanderbilt University and as a teacher and coach in school systems in South Carolina and Tennessee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Western Carolina University and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Middle Tennessee State University.

Caroline Hendren
Vice President, Partnerships

Caroline Hendren, M.Ed., is a professional educator who leads PATHS Education’s outreach to schools, school districts, and organizations that support schools. Previously, Caroline worked as an elementary and middle school teacher in North Carolina and South Carolina. Additionally, she served as an adjunct professor at Tallahassee State College. During her time in the classroom, Caroline was a certified mentor teacher and served on a curriculum team that developed nationally recognized standards-based lessons in physical education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in human performance and exercise science and a master’s degree in education from Milligan University.

Denine Goolsby
Advisor

Denine Goolsby, M.Ed., is a career educator with more than 40 years of experience in elementary and middle education. During her career, Denine has worked as a teacher in the classroom, assistant principal, principal, regional superintendent, and academic coach. Most recently, she served as executive director of Humanware for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, a major implementer of evidence-based SEL programs including PATHS. Denine is an active member of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc., a professional organization of women in education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in educational administration from Kent State University.​

Mark Greenberg
Senior Advisor

Mark Greenberg, Ph.D., is a career educator, researcher, and founding board member of the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) and the Emeritus Bennett Chair of Prevention Research at Penn State University. Mark is the co-developer (with Carol A. Kusche, Ph.D.) of the PATHS Curriculum and has conducted extensive research on the impact of PATHS and other programs that promote the wellbeing of children and families. Additionally, Mark founded and serves as the chair of CREATE, a nonprofit organization devoted to evidence-based wellness programs and practices for educators. He is a recipient of the American Psychological Association’s Urie Bronfenbrenner Award for Lifetime Contribution to Developmental Psychology in the Service of Science and Society. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, and a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia.
