PATHS® (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies) is an evidence-based social and emotional learning program for students in Pre-K through Grade 5.

The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) awarded PATHS the SELect designation, assigned to programs that demonstrate “evidence of effectiveness at improving student outcomes at the highest level.” PATHS provides educators with the tools and training to help students develop emotional awareness, self-control, social problem-solving, and healthy peer interactions.

 

PATHS is backed by extensive research, including numerous randomized controlled trials with diverse student populations. Findings consistently show that our program leads to improvements in student behavior, academic engagement, and classroom climate.
 

PATHS is mainly deployed in schools, school districts, early childhood programs, and after-school settings. To support implementation, PATHS Education LLC offers on-site or virtual professional development, coaching, and technical assistance.
