Why have there been Independent Research Replications of the PATHS® curriculum?
It is important for the study of curriculum outcomes to be conducted by independent teams of researchers beyond the original research of the program developer. These studies evaluate whether or not similar outcomes can be found beyond the original curriculum outcomes.
These independent replications are essential to get unbiased estimates of program effects. In the studies listed here, the developers of the PATHS® curriculum were only involved in providing training or initial research consultation on measurement, but were not at all involved in data collection, analysis or reporting of the findings.
